6-27-22 THOUGHTS
Luke 6:12-13 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. 13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;
I’ve never prayed all night about anything? Maybe I should? Some passages for thought.
Acts 1:14 These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer, along with [the] women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
Acts 6:4 "But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word."
Acts 12:5 So Peter was kept in the prison, but prayer for him was being made fervently by the church to God.
Acts 16:13 And on the Sabbath day we went outside the gate to a riverside, where we were supposing that there would be a place of prayer; and we sat down and began speaking to the women who had assembled.
Rom 12:12 rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer,
Eph 6:18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,
Php 1:4 always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all,
Php 1:19 for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
Php 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Col 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with [an attitude of] thanksgiving;
Matt 6:6-8 "But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. 7 "And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words. 8 "So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
Matt 26:41 "Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
My Prayer:
Father, teach us to pray, genuinely, deeply, always with power. May our spirits join with your Spirit as we pour out our hearts. May we treasure this gift of close relationship with you. Help us to grow in prayer and be devoted to prayer always. Keep us from stale hearts, O God. May we see the power of prayer as we draw closer to you. In the name of our Lord and Savior, Amen.
